Gwalior has kept pace with the times and has not rested on its past glory alone. A wave of industrialisation and enterprise has been sweeping across and around this vibrant city of Madhya Pradesh, as indeed throughout the state capital, excellent infrastructure, and abundant resources the city has attracted many major corporate houses, Today it is home to world majors like Cadbury, Kodak, Hotline, SRF, Cropmton, Godrej, Flex and Atlas among others.

Facilitating this revolution is the Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam, which has set up seven industrial Growth Centers in the area. The purpose of these industrial areas and zones is to provide all infrastructure facilities at one place for development of a particular industry. AKVN Gwalior has proposed ten such centres which are: Food Parks at Gwalior, Banmore, Chainpura, Nadantola and Morena, Apparel Park at Banmore, Transport Complex at Chainpura and Banmore and IID Centres at jaderua (Morena) & Pratappura (Phase II).
